How the application works

This application allows you to interactively manage a solitaire game of Cartagena 1741, or you can use it to keep track of the wounds of heroes, ships and terrain on both sides digitally.

Heroes

The English heroes are shown on the left side of the screen, while the Spanish heroes are shown on the right side.

To see the wounds of each hero, ship and terrain, click on the diamonds on the sides of the screen. Once clicked, a menu displays the corresponding side information.

You can note the wounds of each hero, ship or defensive terrain.

If a hero is embarked and his ship is completely destroyed, the hero dies automatically. You do not need to subtract wounds manually.
In the case of the English side, only Vernon is embarked on the Princess Caroline. If you choose another hero, he will be hidden on board. If the ship he is hidden on is destroyed, the hero is automatically destroyed, informing you with a message.
You can decide to place heroes on a specific ship by selecting them in their Status tab.

Boats and land

In order to use the application in an easy and practical way, each ship is assigned a number: the English side has ships numbered from 1 to 16 while the Spanish side has 6 ships numbered from 1 to 6.
The ships are numbered from the most important ship and with the highest level, up to the ships with the lowest level. To help in their identification, images of the miniatures of the ships are included.
You can label the numbers of the ships on the bottom of the base for convenience.
Damage can be applied to English ships, Spanish ships and defending shore hulls.
The lands are identified by their name and image in the application. They are ordered according to their position on the map from left to right as seen from the Spanish side.
The damage received affects the fame point calculation automatically.

Disembark

At the beginning of the game the English troops are randomly embarked on the English ships. The non-Vernon heroes are always hidden on one of the ships.
When the English use the Disembark action, the corresponding card and its main and alternative objectives will appear. Just below appears a button with the text "Disembark".
On clicking the button a window appears showing three drop-down boxes in which you can select the ships that are going to disembark. When you click on Confirm, if there were any Heroes on one of the ships it will show them on screen and their status will change to "On land" in the window of their corresponding side.
You must place in the box where the hero in question has landed, along with the troop tokens that were on the same ship. Each hero is indicated from which ship he landed.

Fame points

The fame points of each side are calculated automatically according to the current status of the heroes, ships and defenders.
They are displayed at the bottom of the application, next to the corresponding flag.

If a ship with an embarked hero is destroyed, the hero also dies automatically.
If you make a mistake and remove wounds from a hero or ship and it dies, you can restore the wounds and automatically recalculate the fame points.
